ISLAMABAD, Jun 25 (APP):Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan Sikandar Sultan Raja on Tuesday formally inaugurated the newly constructed office of the District Election Commissioner in Attock.
In the inauguration ceremony, the Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan after inaugurating the newly constructed office and visited the entire building and expressed satisfaction with the quality of construction, said a press release issued here.
On this occasion, Sikandar Sultan Raja felicitated the Regional Election Commissioner Rawalpindi, District Election Commissioner Attock and the concerned officers of PWD for completing the construction project on time. He said that this step was part of our efforts to increase public confidence and improve the electoral process.
He also expressed the hope that the people of Attock will be able to benefit from better facilities with this good initiative.
He further said the newly constructed office includes modern infrastructure, high-quality communication systems and excellent file management system that would make all phases of the election more convenient and effective. Apart from this, the office has fulfilled all the requirements of providing election related facilities to the people.
It is pertinent to mention, this step of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) was a reflection that it is continuously striving to conduct free, fair and impartial elections in the country.
Regional Election Commissioner Chaudhry Aleem Shahab, District Election Commissioner Attock Muhammad Imran, Election Officer Rubeel Zafar and PWD officials were also present in the ceremony.
