IHC reserves verdict on plea seeking removal of Hamid Raza’s name from PNIL


ISLAMABAD, Jul 09 (APP):The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday reserved its judgment on a petition seeking removal of Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC)’s head Hamid Raza from Provisional National Identification List (PNIL) to travel abroad.
Chief Justice Aamer Farooq heard the petition moved by Hamid Raza wherein deputy attorney general adopted the stance that PINL law was formed on the direction of apex court.
The chief justice remarked that as per the SRO anyone’s name couldn’t be remain in this list for more than two month. How the name is still placed in the list after passing of the such period, he asked.
The official of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) said that the police report has recommended to keep the name of petition in the list.
The chief justice expressed annoyance over the FIA response and said that the court would pass an order in this case. Addressing the officials, the court said you are playing with the lives of people with no regret.
After this, the bench reserved its judgment.
