ISLAMABAD, Jul 23 (APP):An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Tuesday awarded 16 year imprisonment to two accused involved in giving threats to an educational institution and demanding Rs 300 million ransom.
ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Sapra announced the verdict against accused Bakht Shireen and Jan Alam. The court also imposed a fine worth Rs100,000 each against the two accused.
The two accused have sent threatening letters to the educational institution while using the name of a banned militant organization.
The Counter Terrorism Department (CTC) had registered a case against the accused under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA).
