ISLAMABAD, Jul 10 (APP):The National University of Technology (NUTECH) hosted a get together for Afghan students here at its campus on Wednesday.
The event was attended by the Chairman, Higher Education Commission (HEC) Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Special Representative of the Prime Minister for Afghanistan Asif Durrani as well as students from Afghanistan pursuing their zero semester at NUTECH and Fast University, said a news release.
The zero semester is intended to teach a refresher course of the basic subjects and provide the students an opportunity to connect with the university community, and explore various academic and extracurricular opportunities.
Chairman HEC Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed said, “We are delighted to see the Afghan students joining Pakistani universities and becoming a part of the vibrant academic community. This event also shows NUTECH’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for international students.”
Asif Durrani, Special Representative of the Prime Minister of Afghanistan said, “The presence of Afghan students at Pakistani universities is a positive step towards strengthening the educational and cultural ties between Pakistan and Afghanistan.”
