ISLAMABAD, July 16 (APP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday expressed his condolences on the shahadat of Pakistanis in a terrorist attack on Imam Bargah Ali bin Abu Talib in Wadi Kabir in Muscat, Oman.
The DPM and FM also strongly condemned the terrorist attack in the holy month of Muharram ul Haram and the murder of Muslims, a press release said.
The foreign minister spoke to Ambassador of Pakistan in Oman Imran Ali on phone who briefed him about the last night terrorist attack on Imam Bargah.
Ishaq Dar directed the ambassador to keep close contacts with the authorities in Oman and the Pakistani community and asked him for making arrangements to send the mortal remains of the two martyred Pakistanis as soon as possible.
The deputy prime minister and foreign minister further directed for looking after the injured Pakistanis who were under treatment in hospitals there.
On X account, the deputy prime minister and foreign minister posted, “My deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the families of four Pakistani nationals who were killed in the dastardly terrorist attack on Imam Bargah Ali bin Abu Talib in Muscat, Oman. Strongly condemn this cowardly attack and killing of Muslims in the holy month of Muharram.”
