22 outlaws netted, narcotics, weapons seized with ammunition


ISLAMABAD, Aug 07 (APP):Islamabad Police apprehended 22 outlaws from different areas of the city during the last 24 hours and recovered narcotics and weapons with ammunition from their possession.
A public relations officer said that, following the directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
The Aabpara police team arrested an accused namely Waqas and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. The Karachi Company police team arrested an accused namely Kashif Masih and recovered 25 bottles of wine from his possession.
Likewise, the Tarnol police team arrested two accused namely Asman Ullah and Shahzad and recovered one 30 bore pistol and 600 gram heroin from their possession. The industrial Area police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Shahzad and recovered 600 gram heroin from his possession.
Similarly, the Kirpa police team arrested an accused namely Khalid and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. The Humak police team arrested five accused namely Dilawar, Ameer Nawab, Noman, Muhammad Hamid and Noman and recovered four pistols and one 222 bore rifle from their possession.
Moreover, the Lohi Bher police team arrested an accused namely Imran Aslam and recovered 20 liters of liquor from his possession. The Phulgran police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Basharat and recovered one dagger from his possession.
Furthermore, the Bani Gala police team arrested an accused namely Arslan and recovered 20 liters of liquor from his possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
During the crackdown against proclaimed offenders and absconders, the Islamabad Police teams arrested 08 absconders and target offenders from various areas of the city.
DIG Islamabad Syed Ali Raza directed the police officials to further intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard”.
The citizens are urged to cooperate with police and report any suspicious activity or information through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” or via the “ICT-15” app for immediate assistance.
